About Us
Red Griffin was formed in 1997 to allow people with a love
for Renaissance and Medieval fairs the opportunity to perform
and explore their talents, at the various venues in the Oklahoma
area. Many of our members have careers and educational pursuits
that occupy the majority of their lives, but our organization
provides them the opportunity to take time out and to escape the
daily drudgery of life. Bringing smiles to the faces of many as
they exercise their talents in Singing, Dancing and Dramatic Interaction.
Red Griffin has had exposure through many venues, supporting
or directing other organizations from southern Texas to Kansas
from central Oklahoma to western Arkansas. Our members have preformed
as Kings and Queens, knights of the jousts, dancers, gypsies and
town folk. No matter what part is played our members strive to
provide rich texture and a medieval feel to any venue we perform
at. Away from fairs we have involved ourselves with educational
activities and civic groups.
Red Griffin has an infrastructure that coordinates costuming,
training, and equipping of its participants with a emphasis on
accuracy and an eye towards public appeal and customer input.
The organization strives towards a high degree of excellence in
entertainment providing the best show possible.
The intent of the members of our company is not to support
ourselves with our performing activities, but to support our hobby
if and when possible. We perform for the sheer love of the show
and the magic it instills.
